"Adulteration vs. Nourishment: A Scientific Balance of Food and Faith"

I rarely dine out, but amidst the ongoing controversy over alleged non-vegetarian adulteration in TTD Laddu, I want to share an interesting experience. A few research scholars from a Delhi-based institution and I visited a restaurant, where I unexpectedly encountered unknown non-vegetarian dishes. For the first time, I tasted buffalo, beef, pork (from the Northeast), octopus , and other items. Though they were adulterated me , the taste was surprisingly good, and I often make allegations with fun on one of the scholars about this unique "Adulteration Experience". From a scientific perspective, non-vegetarian dishes are packed with essential nutrients like high-quality proteins, omega-3 fatty acids, iron, zinc, and vitamin B12 , all of which are vital for energy, metabolism, and overall health. International Year of Millets 2023 ends! But failed to recognise the contribution of the greatest millet breeder of world "C. H. Lakshmanaiah". He was popularly known as "Ragi Brahma " and developed 16 Indo-African varieties of Ragi designated as “ INDAF " and screened the world ragi germplasm and identified 5 African donor parents. A year long struggle for the implementation of OBC reservation in All India Quota of State Agriculture Universities

Recently ICAR has issued an official-memorandum for OBC Reservation in the All India Quota across State Agricultural Universities (SAUs), for which, we two students from IARI, [ Dr. Manu S. The Government of India totally neglected and failed to recognise the contributions of the following the greatest millet breeders of the world on this celebration of the International Year of Millets 2023 ! 1. Dr. C. H. Lakshmanaiah (Ragi Breeder) [Born: on 15.05.1921-14.05.1993] Developed 16 Indo-African varieties of Ragi designated as “INDAF" and Screened the world ragi germplasm and identified 5 African donor parents. 2. Dr. H. Shivanna (Sorghum Breeder) [Born: on 15.02.1953-] Developed 6 high yielding varieties and 3 hybrids in Sorghum and identified 15 male sterile lines with diversified cytoplasmic backgrounds.
